With design and fashion weeks popping up in every major city around the world, plus fairs, conferences and trade shows becoming more readily accessible to both industry insiders and the general public, we’ve decided to compile a design calendar to help you navigate through the clutter.
Here is our list of some of the must-see design and fashion events for the rest of 2019—located around the world and with a good mix of Latin American and international events, as always.

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer

Latin American Design Festival
March 7-9 2019 Lima, Peru
The Latin American Design Festival is the first design festival that encompasses all of Latin America. The annual event organizes conferences, workshops, exhibits, among other activities, with the aim to promote, diffuse and position Latin American design. ladfest.org
Caravana Americana
March 8-10 2019, Mexico City, Mexico

Ish
March 11-15, 2019, Frankfurt, Germany

Collectible

Architectural Digest Design Show

Bogota Fashion Week
April 2-4 2019, Bogotá, Colombia
Bogota’s Chamber of Commerce created Bogotá Fashion Week to position the Colombian capital as an international fashion center, uniting efforts with multiple national and international stakeholders to promote the creative talents of emerging Colombian designers, position their brands and expand their market. bogotafashionweek.com.co
Milan Design Week
April 9-14 2019, Milan, Italy
Design Week in Milan consists of the city’s big design trade fair, the Salone del Mobile, plus independent design events throughout the Italian metropolis, called the Fuorisalone. Together, the two make up the biggest and most important furniture and interiors design event in the world. Period. NYCxDesign
May 10-22 2019, New York, USA
NYCxDESIGN, New York City’s annual celebration of design, attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees and designers from across the globe. Taking place each May, the event celebrates a world of design and showcases over a dozen design disciplines through events taking place across the city’s five boroughs, with fairs like Wanted Design and ICFF occurring simultaneously. nycxdesign.com
Medellin Design Week: Design Stores

Medellin Design Week is the citywide design event for local talent, inviting new and established designers, artists, and creatives to showcase their products and unveil their latest endeavors to potential clients, partners and international guests, while exchanging ideas meant to spark collaboration. This year, the event’s organizers have decided to divide the event into different sections throughout the year in order to continue to promote Medellin as a design capital. In May, Medellin Design Week will host a series of private, curated events in partnership with local design stores.

La Feria de Diseño

Held each year at Medellin’s Plaza Mayor convention center, La Feria de Diseño is Colombia’s largest commercial design trade show. Medellin Design Week: Business Design Meeting & Conferences

In August, Medellin Design Week will host its Business Design Meeting, inviting national and international guests to discuss the business of design. A special focus will be placed on the issue of royalties in design. Other events include conferences, workshops and open stores.
São Paulo Design Weekend

New York Fashion Week
September 5-11 2019, New York, USA
Held in February and September of each year, New York Fashion Week is a semi-annual event (generally lasting 7–9 days) in which international fashion collections are shown to buyers, the press, and the general public.
