Curved/Line Collection by Moshi Moshi

Chilean design studio Moshi-Moshi’s latest collection, Curved/Line, is a departure from the studio’s typical straight-edged origami products, now featuring wave-like folds that take inspiration in the curvature of flora, particularly the liliale and iracia flowers.
The Hana Copihue lamp is inspired by the copihue, the national flower of Chile, popularly known as the Chilean bellflower and identified by its bell-like form.
The collection presents two dual-use lamps that can be arranged as table lamps or hanging lights. Made of Stone Paper and Chile’s signature material, copper, the object’s duality of uses and materials represents Moshi-Moshi’s ultimate goal: to communicate Japanese culture through a purely Latin American lens. moshimoshilamps.com
The Hana Wave lamp is inspired by the Japanese lily because of the curvature at the edge of its petals.
About Moshi-Moshi
Moshi-Moshi is a design studio focused on the origami-inspired design of paper lamps. Created by Mitsue Kido, a Chilean architect of Japanese heritage, the studio is based in Santiago, Chile. Kido’s use of paper responds to a personal interest in Japanese tradition that has developed into an aesthetic research of the origami technique. All lamps are made using a natural, recyclable, heat resistant, water repellent and durable mineral paper called Stone Paper.
