A boutique hotel, restaurant, and gallery in one

If you are wondering what a boutique hotel in Bogotá might look like, look no further than Casa Lelyte, a 50s-chic gem within the exclusive Chapinero Alto neighborhood (book Casa Lelyte on booking.com).

Inside a two-story restored house typical of the area, visitors will find a retro-chic lounge with a touch of Scandinavian minimalism, an inviting bar, and a trendy restaurant complete with vintage accents set on a botanical backdrop – all designed in a collaboration by Duque Arquitectura, Pedro Olarte, and Casa Lelyte owner Maria Angelica Bernal.

Upstairs, the house offers just four rooms – each designed with a distinctly revitalized vintage feel (book on Airbnb here).

The restaurant proposes a menu of Asian and Mediterranean flavors melded with local, organic ingredients, resulting in signature dishes that place vegetables front and center.

As for the cocktails, Bernal worked with bar owner and food blogger extraordinaire Ronald Schneider to create the restaurant’s innovative cocktail list, featuring a selection of timeless cocktails and classic recipes with a twist.

We especially liked the French Mandragora, a vodka and Prosecco-based cocktail mixed with lemon, syrup and mandrake bitters.

And in case the boutique hotel and restaurant-bar concept were not enough, Casa Lelyte is also a gallery that features a rotation of new and emerging artists every three to four months.
