About kriteria
Kriteria is a digital publication devoted to changing perceptions of Latin America through the discovery and thoughtful communication of design in its many forms, including interior design, architecture, fashion, and food design.
It is a guide to the spaces, people and products that transmit all that is well-made in Latin America.
At kriteria, we believe good design serves as a catalyst for growth. We believe in the creativity of Latin American design and its capacity to inspire and transform our culture.
Each day, we celebrate the talent of architects, designers, chefs, artists, and other creatives, and we credit their work with continuously reimagining and reconstructing the world we live in.
Kriteria puts the spotlight on brands that display a clearly defined aesthetic and are inspired by international trends, but also have a strong tie to their roots.
Special attention is paid to sustainable brands that collaborate responsibly with artisans, but who can also compete visually with high-end brands at the international level.
About the creator
Hi! I'm Julia, a bilingual, Colombian- American journalist and photographer with an eye for design, and the mind behind kriteria.
After studying journalism in Boston, USA and design in Milan, Italy, I worked as a writer and photographer for Design Diffusion News in Milan, where I developed a passion for the world of interior, architecture and product design.
With a curious personality type and a knack for finding beautiful design addresses, I created kriteria, your portal to Latin American design and destinations for the design traveler, featuring interior design, architecture, fashion and food design.
